Gunblade, Bridge Map Arrive in Rivals Update 9

The Roblox first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the creative Gunblade weapon and a new Bridge map.

Developer Nosniy Games outlined the additions in the patch notes, highlighting minor adjustments while focusing on upcoming features. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it still offers engaging content.

The Gunblade, a combination rifle and blade, is a versatile weapon ideal for surprising opponents, particularly on the new Bridge map. This close-quarters combat arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features limited space and obstacles, fostering intense battles.

Update 9 notably omits bug fixes, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements, a deliberate choice to prioritize the new map and weapon. Minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, along with renaming some weapons (Hexxed to Vexed), were included. Nosniy promises more substantial changes in the next major update, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated their commitment to incorporating player feedback and making necessary improvements before the Ranked mode launch.

NEW MAP

The new Bridge map is now available! This arena-style duel zone is located in Seoul, South Korea, and was created by @GreatGuyBoom!

NEW CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight challenges have been replaced with a new set of challenges! Complete tasks on the Bridge map to earn keys and the limited-time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER CHANGES

• Minor adjustments to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins.
• Renamed the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively.
