Introducing the Draenei

The Draenei, a new permanent minion type in Hearthstone, are cosmic beings—the "Exiled Ones" from Warcraft lore. Having fled the Burning Legion, they now journey through The Great Dark Beyond, seeking a new home. Their cards often feature effects that benefit subsequent Draenei, creating a synergistic, family-like dynamic centered around their leader, Velen.

Starships and Starship Pieces

The core theme of The Great Dark Beyond revolves around customizable Starships. You collect Starship Pieces, played as regular minions. Upon defeat, their stats and effects are absorbed into your Starship, empowering it for a powerful later deployment. Each class (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Rogue, and Warlock) boasts a unique Starship design. The Exile's Hope offers a neutral location for all classes.
