Once a hero reaches six stars, obtaining duplicate “free gift” heroes or gold-star versions unlocks their fourth skill. S-tier heroes, however, require duplicates matching their tier to access a fifth skill. Most heroes begin with one active skill. To unlock additional skills (Skill 2 through 4), you’ll need duplicates or Instructor cards of the same rarity. When a hero reaches the maximum star level, more duplicates unlock higher-tier abilities—S-tier heroes need even more copies to unlock Skill 5. After a skill is unlocked, you can upgrade it with skill points, which are earned by disenchanting extra hero copies. Save your duplicates until you’re ready to use those points.
