Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, while focused on action, offers deep weapon and outfit customization. This guide details how to combine the effects of multiple outfits, a powerful technique with some limitations.

Remastered Version Required

This dual-outfit method is exclusive to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. A recent patch introduced transmog, enabling you to retain an outfit's stats while visually wearing another.

Outfit Requirements

This technique isn't universal. While your primary outfit is your choice, the secondary (for visual appearance) must be one of these three:

• Banuk Werak Runner
• Banuk Werak Chieftain
• Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

These outfits are located within the Frozen Wilds DLC, accessible without completing the main game.

Acquiring the Banuk Werak Outfits

Banuk Werak Runner

Defeat the new machine to reach the Frozen Wilds. Locate a Bluegleam Merchant (blue merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Chieftain Adept

Complete the "For the Werak" quest (Frozen Wilds' third main quest) for the Banuk Werak Chieftain. Lowering the difficulty may help. The Adept version is obtained similarly, but only in NG+.

Combining Outfit Effects

Equip your desired outfit (stat-optimized, potentially enhanced with Weaves). Then, use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits.

This preserves your chosen outfit's stats while adding the Banuk Werak outfits' auto-healing perk after taking damage. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with the Shield Weaver outfit creates a nearly invincible character.
