Hunting Horn Tips

To truly excel with the Hunting Horn, you must orchestrate your buffs and damage output effectively, especially in a team setting.

All About the Notes

Mastering the art of note combinations is crucial. Each Hunting Horn has unique songs that require specific note sequences. Keep an eye on the top right corner of your screen to see which command produces the needed note. Utilize moves like Flourish and Overhead Smash to add notes during your second attack, and even play notes while riding your Seikret to form melodies on the move.

Buff City

Stacking and playing multiple songs in sequence allows you to benefit from various buffs simultaneously. Choose buffs that align with your current battle scenario, and remember that performing them requires time, so plan accordingly.

Echo Chamber

Maximize the use of Echo Bubbles to create a battlefield advantage. They not only provide three additional note inputs but also amplify your subsequent attacks. The increased Evasion and Movement Speed within the Echo Bubble enhance your survivability, making it essential for High Rank hunts.

Self-Improvement is Key

Ensure your Self-Improvement skill is at least level 2 to boost your attacks by 20%. This increased damage potential can significantly reduce the time needed to defeat monsters.

Always be Prepared With Special Performances

Keep a Special Performance ready to use. For example, the Offset Melody can be stocked without being overwritten. When a monster attacks, input the Special Performance command (R2/RT + Triangle/Y + Circle/B) and release it as the monster strikes to knock it down.
