Navigating Hyper Light Breaker's sprawling, Synthwave-infused Overgrowth can be challenging. Fortunately, a secret weapon awaits: the Hoverboard. Available from the game's outset, this often-overlooked feature significantly enhances traversal. This guide details its activation and unique capabilities.

The Hoverboard acts as a sprint mechanism, boosting movement speed while gradually depleting your Energy. This guide will show you how to use it effectively and highlight its less obvious benefits.

How To Summon A Hoverboard in Hyper Light Breaker

Summoning the Hoverboard is simple: continuously hold down the Dodge button. Your character will dash forward and automatically mount the Hoverboard, provided you maintain the Dodge input.

Hoverboard control is intuitive. The left analog stick controls direction; leaning increases turning speed at slower velocities. High-speed turns are less responsive. Release the Dodge button to dismount. The Hoverboard will also automatically deactivate upon Energy depletion.

Monitor your Energy level (displayed beside your companion). Disengage briefly to replenish Energy if it runs low to avoid unexpected dismounts.
