Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president, Ted Price, recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was unfortunately never approved. While the concept was deemed "wonderful," Price cited timing and market opportunity as factors preventing its development.

PlayHe expressed the team's strong desire to continue the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' compelling alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera aliens.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, debuted on the PlayStation 3. Following its conclusion, Insomniac shifted focus to other projects, including the critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man franchise and new entries in the Ratchet & Clank series.

Price's retirement, announced earlier this year after a 30-year tenure, will see Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang take over as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's current and upcoming projects include the recently PC-released Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and the highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine.
