Intercepting the Ball in Marvel Rivals' Clash of Dancing Lions: A Guide
The Spring Festival in Marvel Rivals is now live, and with it comes a brand-new limited-time mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. To level up your Battle Pass and unlock exclusive rewards, players must dive into this 3v3 soccer-inspired brawl and complete event-specific challenges—one of the most crucial being how to intercept the ball. Whether you're new to competitive modes or just brushing up on your skills, mastering ball interception is key to dominating matches and earning those sweet festival rewards.
What Is an Interception in Clash of Dancing Lions?
If you're not familiar with fast-paced team sports like Rocket League or traditional football, the term “interception” might seem confusing—but don’t worry. In Clash of Dancing Lions, an interception simply means stealing the ball from the opposing team before they can score. While opportunities to intercept come frequently due to constant ball movement, success depends on positioning, timing, and character choice. Knowing where to be—and when—is half the battle.
How To Intercept the Ball in Clash of Dancing Lions
Marvel Rivals’ latest mode challenges teams of three to work together, control the ball, and score goals within a set time limit. The team with the most points wins, making defense just as important as offense. Here’s how to turn defense into your greatest weapon:
- Cut Off Passing Lanes: Watch enemy players closely. When two opponents line up for a pass, position yourself directly between them—their most likely throwing lane. Use mobility abilities to jump in at the right moment and disrupt the play. Practice makes perfect; with so much ball action in each match, you’ll get multiple chances.
- Disrupt Easy Shots: Be alert when an opponent lines up what looks like a guaranteed goal. Instead of waiting, strike first—interrupt their throw with a well-timed attack. Yes, it’s risky if you miss, but for completing Spring Festival challenges, the reward outweighs the risk.
- Pick the Right Hero: Movement matters. Choose a character whose kit feels natural to you. Among the three available heroes in this mode, Star-Lord stands out. His dash ability lets him close gaps quickly, and his ranged attacks are excellent for knocking the ball loose—even in crowded spaces. Use his mobility to slide into passing lanes, then fire to force a turnover.
That’s everything you need to know about intercepting the ball in Clash of Dancing Lions in Marvel Rivals. With sharp positioning, smart timing, and the right hero, you’ll be shutting down enemy plays and racking up Battle Pass progress in no time.
