King of Fighters ALLSTAR Shutdown Announcement

Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is closing its doors this October. The announcement, made on Netmarble's official forums, confirmed the shutdown date as October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled since June 26th, 2024.

This news is a disappointment for fans of the action-packed RPG, which has enjoyed a successful run of over six years, featuring numerous high-profile crossovers from other fighting games. Built on the legacy of SNK's iconic King of Fighters franchise, the game garnered positive player feedback, praised for its impressive animations and engaging PvP battles.

While the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor, the reasons behind the shutdown remain somewhat unclear. Recent optimization issues and reported crashes may also have played a role. Despite these challenges, the game achieved millions of downloads on both Google Play and the App Store.

Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary fights and roster before the servers shut down. Download King of Fighters ALLSTAR from the Google Play Store and enjoy it while you can! Looking for alternative mobile gaming experiences?
