Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained momentum after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
The developers faced a barrage of online attacks, with attempts to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage player support.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days following the game's December gold master status. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, initial "final previews" based on review copies are anticipated a week after the code distribution.
