KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

It's the third day in a row that I'm covering the end of service for another game, this time it's KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, which has officially come to an end. Today, January 30th, marks the final day before the servers shut down. So, what lies ahead?

How Long Did This One Last?

Developed by Sumzap and initially published by Nexon before being handed over to Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was indeed a commendable game. However, it's important to note that the fantastic days of KonoSuba were relatively brief.

The global servers of KonoSuba: Fantastic Days lasted for 3.5 years, while the Japanese servers managed to hold on for a solid 5 years. For an anime-based gacha game, this is quite a respectable run, especially considering the game's revenue had been on a downward trend for some time.

The developers have clearly shifted their focus to another project, the JJK gacha game known as Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade. Before closing KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, they continued to support the game right up until the end, with voiced story updates and even a final song release just three weeks ago.

They also hosted a farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version took it a step further by archiving the entire main story on their YouTube channel, allowing players to relive the antics of Kazuma and his quirky team at their leisure. They also released an offline version, enabling players to continue enjoying the game's story, voice lines, and character collection.

Unfortunately, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global won't have an offline version or a dedicated YouTube channel. However, fans can still visit the Japanese YouTube channel if they wish to spend more time with Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the gang.

That concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on Karrablast and Shelmet in the February Community Day of Pokémon Go.
