Layton Series Set to Expand, New Games Unveiled Today

LEVEL-5, the studio behind beloved franchises like Professor Layton and Yo-Kai Watch, is preparing for major reveals at its Vision Showcase today and Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024.

LEVEL-5's Vision 2024 and TGS 2024 Announcements

The upcoming Vision 2024 showcase (September 2024) promises exciting news, including new game announcements and updates on existing projects. The developer's website highlights several key titles:

• Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road: The latest installment in the popular soccer RPG series.
• Professor Layton and the New World of Steam: A highly anticipated return of the puzzle-solving professor, marking the first mainline entry in over a decade.
• Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time: The next chapter in the charming life-simulation RPG franchise.
• DecaPolice: A crime-suspense RPG.
• Updates for Megaton Musashi W: Wired: A mecha action RPG released in April.

For TGS 2024, LEVEL-5's "A Challenge Invitation from LEVEL5" broadcast will feature guests Ichijou Ririka (ReGLOSS), voice actress Yoshioka Mayu, and Dice-K. The stream will showcase gameplay from three playable titles at the LEVEL-5 booth and offer additional game information. Viewers can participate in challenges to win prizes, including an Inazuma Eleven fan, a Fantasy Life bandana, and a Professor Layton keyring. Booth visitors will receive a unique A4 clear file.
