"Lazarus Anime Premiere: Cowboy Bebop Creator and Mappa Studio's Latest Tonight"
Lazarus is a groundbreaking sci-fi anime that boasts an impressive lineup of talent from across the entertainment industry. Directed by the acclaimed Shinichirō Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame, Lazarus is a fresh, original series that stands apart from Watanabe's previous work, according to critic Ryan Guar's review of the first five episodes. The animation is a collaboration between Mappa Studio, known for hits like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, and Sola Entertainment, which brought us Tower of God. Adding to the excitement, Chad Stahelski, the visionary behind the John Wick franchise, has designed the series' action sequences.
Given the buzz and intrigue surrounding Lazarus, it's no wonder that Adult Swim has secured the rights to air the series in the U.S. simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast. If you're eager to catch the latest episodes of Lazarus online, here's how you can do it.
Where to Stream Lazarus
Lazarus
In the year 2052, a miracle drug turns deadly, threatening humanity with extinction. It's up to a team of outlaws known as LAZARUS to save the world within 30 days. Tune in to witness their race against time.
New episodes of Lazarus will be available to stream on Max the day after they air on Adult Swim. This means **new episodes of Lazarus will arrive on Max every Sunday**. Max subscriptions start at $9.99 and can be bundled with Disney+ and Hulu for an enhanced viewing experience.

What Is Lazarus About?
Lazarus breaks the mold as an entirely original anime, not derived from any existing manga or source material. Here's the official plot synopsis from the Lazarus website:
In the year 2052, humanity enjoys an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity, thanks to a miracle cure-all drug developed by Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner. Named Hapuna, this drug initially seems to have no downsides. However, three years later, Dr. Skinner returns with devastating news: Hapuna has a lethal half-life, and all who have taken it will die within three years. In response, a special task force of five agents from around the world, known as "Lazarus," is assembled to stop Skinner and find a vaccine before time runs out.
