Limbus Company: Mastering Lunacy Acquisition
Lunacy is the premium currency in Limbus Company, essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs—the game's gacha system. To obtain those coveted character variants, you'll need a healthy supply of Lunacy. Earning Lunacy in Limbus Company follows a typical gacha model: abundant early game rewards gradually decrease as you progress.
How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

For new players, the main story is your primary Lunacy source. Each chapter yields approximately 390 Lunacy, with an additional 260 for completing missions with an EX rating. Achieving an EX rating requires fulfilling all mission objectives, rewarding you with an extra 40 Lunacy per first-time EX clear. First-time Luxcavation stage clears also provide Lunacy, but these are one-time rewards.
Once you've completed all story quests, Lunacy acquisition slows. Here's how to continue earning it:
- Complete/EX clear event stages: Event stages offer a significant Lunacy boost, but remember, they're time-limited.
- Boosted Mirror Dungeons: This is likely your most consistent source. Three runs are available weekly (resetting Wednesdays), yielding 750 Lunacy. These dungeons are challenging, so bring your best Identities.
- Uptying Identities: Upgrading Sinners' Identities and EGOs to Uptie Tier 3 rewards 40 Lunacy each. While finite, this provides a long-term Lunacy income as you upgrade your roster. Focus on leveling up your characters and gathering Threads.
- Battle Pass Rewards: The battle pass offers free and premium tracks containing Lunacy.
- Direct Purchases: Purchase Lunacy directly using real money.
