In the Marvel Rivals files, dataminers have found a fight with a kraken and a new mode

Marvel Rivals' upcoming update hints at a PvE mode featuring a Kraken boss, discovered by dataminer X0X_Leaks. While the Kraken model possesses animations, high-resolution textures are absent. X0X_Leaks showcased a size-based in-game approximation of the Kraken to illustrate its potential appearance.

Separately, Marvel Rivals announced a Spring Festival event commencing this Thursday. This event introduces a unique 3v3 game mode, "Clash of Dancing Lions," where teams compete to score a ball into the opposing goal. The mode bears a striking resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, and, by extension, Rocket League.

This similarity is noteworthy, given Marvel Rivals' apparent attempt to distinguish itself from Overwatch by generating original content. The event's design, however, mirrors Overwatch's inaugural special game mode, albeit with a pronounced Chinese cultural theme instead of Overwatch's Olympic Games aesthetic.
