Marvel Unveils Bi-Monthly Hero Drops

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh and engaging through regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures players always have something new to explore.
Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided into two parts: a new hero is added in the first half, and another in the second. This approach maintains player interest. Beyond new heroes, updates will also include new maps, storylines, and objectives.
Several upcoming characters have already been revealed, including the currently unplayable Blade, Altron (leaked information), and the highly anticipated Fantastic Four team.
According to GameLook, Marvel Rivals has generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a significant expansion for Marvel into the gaming sector, building on their film industry dominance.
Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality game featuring a compelling roster of characters, receiving positive reviews upon its initial release.
