Known Habitats – Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts – Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attack – Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects – Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items – Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma is remarkably agile, capable of swift jumps and dashes that can challenge melee weapon users. A strategic approach is to deploy a Flash Pod, which temporarily blinds the monster, giving you a golden window to attack or even mount its back for a more advantageous position.
Attack the Legs
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is key, with the forelegs being particularly vulnerable (3-star weakness). While the back legs are less effective (2-star weakness), they're still viable. Don't overlook the head, which also has a 3-star weakness, or the tail, which can be broken for additional rewards.
Use Fire and Lightning
Leverage the power of fire and lightning in your arsenal. Bowgun users should stock up on Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee fighters can enhance their weapons with fire skill decorations. Aim fire attacks at the head and torso, and direct lightning strikes at the head for maximum impact.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that leads to an explosion if not managed. Counter this threat with Nulberries or Deodorant, or dodge-roll three times to clear the effect.
Use Traps
The environment is your ally; use natural traps found in Doshaguma's territory to your advantage. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap for optimal results.

Capturing Doshaguma alive is an alternative to slaying it. First, weaken the monster until its HP falls to 20% or below. Set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path, and use Luring Ammo or meat to guide it into the trap. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers, possibly multiple shots, to ensure it falls asleep.
