Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming previous leaks. The game launches August 28, 2025. A new trailer debuted alongside the announcement.
A surprising collaboration with Ape Escape was also hinted at, with a cryptic "And More" message suggesting additional crossovers are planned. This first crossover appears to be a nod to the original Metal Gear Solid 3's monkey minigame.
While boasting a new first-person viewpoint, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remains largely faithful to its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as a "very shiny HD remaster," praising its visuals but noting a potential missed opportunity for a more substantial remake. The game appears to prioritize a nostalgic experience above significant gameplay alterations.
