Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Returning and Improved Features
Peep Demo Theater Returns
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, and the rating summary confirms the return of the Peep Demo Theater. This feature, originally seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’s Subsistence and HD Collection versions, allows players to view all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA in her underwear. Players can manipulate the camera freely, zooming in on any part of her body. To access this, players must collect all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, which requires four playthroughs of the game.
The M for Mature rating aligns with the game's theme of an elite soldier navigating behind enemy lines, involving violence and gore. However, the reintroduction of the Peep Demo Theater, often referred to as "Creepy mode," has surprised many fans due to its explicit and controversial nature.
Faster Camouflage System
In a welcome update to MGS Delta's gameplay, a new feature allows for quicker camouflage changes. A video shared by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on March 28 via Twitter (X) demonstrates this improved process. The post states, "Change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the fly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."
The footage shows players can now swap their camouflage in under three seconds, a significant improvement from the original game where changing camouflage was a slow process involving multiple menu navigations. This enhancement will undoubtedly improve the game's pacing and enhance the stealth experience.
As the release date of August 26, 2025, for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating this remake. The return of iconic features alongside quality-of-life improvements promises a more engaging playthrough experience.
