Microsoft Reveals Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup, showcasing an exciting array of new titles set to hit the service. This announcement precedes the Xbox Developer Direct scheduled for January 23, where fans can look forward to first-day Game Pass releases, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and an undisclosed fourth game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 rollout begins on January 21 with the launch of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, available day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game promises thrilling downhill adventures with up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer, challenging you to navigate snowy slopes either cooperatively or in a race to the finish.

On January 22, Flock joins Game Pass Standard on consoles, offering a delightful co-op experience where players soar through picturesque landscapes to collect unique flying creatures. The same day sees the arrival of Gigantic: Rampage Edition on Cloud, Console, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive version of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter brings intense team-based battles with a variety of heroes and objectives.

Also on January 22, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches on Game Pass Standard for consoles, offering a unique blend of Japanese-inspired action and strategy gameplay. Players will cycle through day and night, purifying villages and defending against hordes. Other titles joining Game Pass Standard on the same day include Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Case of the Golden Idol, and Starbound, the latter also available on Game Pass Ultimate.

January 28 brings Eternal Strands to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day one release on Cloud, Console, and PC. This fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games combines magic and weaponry to battle towering creatures in a third-person action-adventure. On the same day, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, inviting players to defend against orc hordes in an action-packed shooter.

Shady Part of Me arrives on January 29 across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on Cloud, Console, and PC. This emotional journey features captivating art and voice acting, guiding players through dream-like landscapes.

Sniper Elite: Resistance hits Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 30 as a day one release, offering stealth and tactical combat in occupied France, with a full co-op campaign.

On January 31, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass across Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, continuing the story of an escaped android navigating the Starward Belt.

Rounding out the lineup, Far Cry New Dawn arrives on February 4 on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard across Cloud, Console, and PC, set in a post-apocalyptic world.

As new games join the service, several titles will leave Game Pass on January 31, 2025, including Anuchard, Broforce Forever, Darkest Dungeon, Death’s Door, Maquette, and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
