MiHoYo’s Upcoming Animal Crossing-Like Game Astaweave Haven Now Has a New Name!

HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is making waves with its upcoming game, originally known as Astaweave Haven. This title, even before a proper reveal, has undergone a significant change: a name change to Petit Planet. This shift hints at a departure from HoYoVerse's usual open-world gacha RPG formula.

If you're a fan of gacha or RPGs, you might have heard whispers of Astaweave Haven. While official details remain scarce, indications suggest a game style more akin to life simulation or management titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This aligns perfectly with the new, more charming name, Petit Planet. The name itself evokes a sense of relaxed gameplay, further distancing it from MiHoYo's typical gacha offerings.

Release Date Uncertainties

Currently, the game is under development, lacking a confirmed release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile platforms in July. However, the newly registered name, Petit Planet, is now pending approval in the U.S. and U.K.

Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's history of rapid releases (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can expect a swift launch following regulatory approval. Hopefully, the official unveiling of Petit Planet is just around the corner.
