Mobile Gaming Giant's 'Indus' Breaks Records with Massive Pre-Registrations

by Aiden Feb 08,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This exciting addition comes on the heels of another significant achievement: surpassing 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains elusive, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for the Indian market, features a 4v4 deathmatch mode alongside improvements to its audio experience, including enhanced sound effects and music. These updates are available to closed beta testers.

Indus offers classic battle royale gameplay with innovative elements, such as a Grudge system rewarding players for engaging rivals. Initially announced in 2022, the game has undergone several beta phases, steadily expanding its features and attracting a substantial player base. This growth is particularly noteworthy given India's booming mobile gaming market.

Despite exceeding 11 million pre-registrations – a remarkable feat – Indus's growth has plateaued somewhat. The previous milestone of 10 million pre-registrations was reached in March. While an additional million is significant, it's not the explosive growth seen earlier.

Anticipation for Indus's public launch is high. While new features are appreciated, the speculated late 2023 release didn't materialize. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
