Monster Hunter Wilds Surpassed 8 Million Units in 3 Days
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has stormed the gaming market, becoming Capcom's fastest-selling title by reaching over 8 million units sold within three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, marking a historic milestone for the company.
The game's launch was met with significant success, evidenced by over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, as reported by SteamDB. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the high player count speaks volumes about the game's appeal. Capcom credits this success to their extensive promotional efforts, which included global video game event appearances and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
Capcom has not rested on their laurels; they've been actively working on improving Monster Hunter Wilds. A recent update, hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00, was released on March 4, 2025, across all platforms, as announced by Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, on Twitter (X).
This patch tackled several critical issues, including fixing the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features that were not unlocking despite players meeting the necessary criteria. Additionally, it resolved problems with accessing the Monster Field Guide and a game-breaking bug that halted story progression at Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.
While this update has addressed significant issues, some bugs remain, such as network errors triggered by firing an SOS flare after a quest starts, and issues with Palico's blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be resolved in an upcoming patch, ensuring a smoother gaming experience for all players.
