Nexon's Fantasy War Tactics R to End Service

After nearly a decade of strategic battles, Fantasy War Tactics R is officially closing its doors. The beloved turn-based tactical RPG that captivated players with its grid-based combat and deep team-building mechanics will soon be gone for good. For longtime fans, it's truly the end of an era.

The End is Nigh

Originally launched by Nexon GT in November 2015 and published by Nexon, the game saw its fair share of changes. The controversial transfer to Valofe during Season 2 marked a turning point where many veterans felt the game lost its original magic.

When Will Servers Shut Down?

The final curtain falls on July 29th, 2025 at 10:00 AM KST. But here's what you need to know before then:

• In-game purchases get disabled on June 24th, but you can still use existing currency
• Final Premium rewards will be distributed post-maintenance
• A special Farewell Event runs from June 24th through EOS date

Remembering the Glory Days

At its peak, Fantasy War Tactics R offered something special to mobile SRPG fans:

• Massive world with 12 distinct regions and 180 challenging dungeons
• Roster of over 50 unique heroes to collect and master
• Innovative directional combat and RPS mechanics
• Fair progression system that rewarded farming over wallet warriors

The game's transition to Valofe brought noticeable changes - erratic balance patches, slower updates, and fading developer communication. While the EOS announcement stings, many saw it coming from miles away.
