Nintendo's innovative alarm clock, Alarmo, is set for a broader retail launch in March 2025, as announced via their official Twitter (X) account. This expanded release will make the device available to a wider audience, eliminating the previous requirement of a Nintendo Online membership.

Initially released to great fanfare (and immediate sell-outs!), Alarmo will now be stocked at major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers. The device, priced at $99.99 USD, features interactive elements and charming soundscapes from popular Nintendo franchises.

The initial release saw unprecedented demand, leading to a lottery system in Japan and sell-outs in locations like New York City. This high demand underscores the appeal of Alarmo's unique features.

Alarmo's Engaging Features:

Alarmo boasts a selection of 42 scenes featuring beloved characters from games such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, with more to be added via free updates. The alarm experience is interactive: a character appears on screen, a gentle sound plays, and then a "visitor" arrives. Users can quiet the alarm with a simple hand wave or body movement. Persistent snoozing brings a more insistent visitor and louder sound. The alarm stops only when the user gets out of bed, thanks to a built-in motion sensor.

Beyond the core alarm function, Alarmo provides hourly chimes, sleep sounds, and sleep pattern tracking, monitoring time spent in bed and movement during sleep. A "Button Mode" is recommended for households with pets or multiple sleepers.
