"Nolan North Welcomes Troy Baker to Exclusive Adventure Game Club on PS5"
Bethesda has exciting news for fans of adventure games: MachineGames' Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 15 for early access, with a global release following on April 17. Those eager to dive into the action can secure early access by pre-ordering the game.
This PS5 release comes four months after the game's initial launch on Xbox and PC. Alongside the announcement, a fun promo trailer was released, featuring two of the most iconic video game actors, Troy Baker and Nolan North, engaging in a playful conversation.
In the trailer, Troy Baker, who voices Indiana Jones, sits down with Nolan North, known for his role as Nathan Drake in the PlayStation-exclusive Uncharted series. The meeting of these actors, whose characters draw inspiration from each other, marks a significant moment for The Great Circle. This crossover is especially notable as it involves Microsoft-owned Bethesda featuring Nolan North, linked to Sony's Uncharted franchise, in their promotional material. While North avoids directly referencing his iconic character or the series, his performance is filled with knowing nods to his adventurous alter ego.
North humorously hints at having broken into the opulent setting of their chat, suggesting that at any moment, he might have to fend off pursuers, much like Nathan Drake often does. The conversation turns to how Indiana Jones plans to tackle Private Military Forces with just a whip. Baker, tapping his head, starts to say, "use the old—" before North interjects with "headbutt," adding with a chuckle, "I like it. Aggressive." North then describes himself as more of a "sidearms kinda guy… jeans… henley," to which Baker playfully notes, "somehow always half-tucked."
The actors bond over their love for ancient artifacts, with North's character typically aiming to sell them to the highest bidder, while Baker's Indiana Jones prefers to donate them to museums. North welcomes Baker's character into the "very exclusive club" of adventurers, saying, "Welcome to the club." This signifies the inclusion of Xbox's Indiana Jones alongside PlayStation's Uncharted on Sony's console, marking a union of treasure-hunting legends. The light-hearted trailer ends with a humorous suggestion that Lara Croft might crash the party, seeking her share of the adventure.

This release is part of Microsoft's broader strategy to bring its titles to multiple platforms, following the lead of games like Forza Horizon 5 and Doom: The Dark Ages. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has already seen significant success, reaching 4 million players thanks to its day one launch on Game Pass, a figure expected to grow with the PS5 version's release.
Harrison Ford, the legendary actor behind Indiana Jones, has praised Troy Baker's portrayal in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. In a conversation with The Wall Street Journal, Ford expressed his satisfaction with Baker's performance, humorously stating, "You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent. He did a brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it."
