*Benjamin* marks the full-length comic debut of acclaimed author Ben H. Winters (*The Last Policeman* Trilogy, CBS’ *Tracker*). The visual storytelling comes to life through the artwork of Leomacs (*EC’s Epitaphs from the Abyss*, *Basketful of Heads*), with striking cover art by Leomacs, Christian Ward, and Malachi Ward.

About Benjamin

Benjamin dives into the surreal journey of Benjamin J. Carp—a literary maverick whose radical sci-fi works, including the cult classic The Man They Couldn’t Erase, redefined genre boundaries. After decades of excess and addiction, Carp’s life came to an end in 1982… only for him to awaken again in 2025, confused, disoriented, and very much alive.

Now, he must navigate a strange, hyper-modern Los Angeles filled with unfamiliar technology, societal shifts, and existential questions. Is he a ghost? A clone? A simulation? As he travels from Studio City to Venice Beach, Carp begins to unravel the greatest mystery of all—his own existence.

"Let’s just clarify upfront: Just because this comic is called *Benjamin*, and it's written by someone named Benjamin, doesn't automatically make it autobiographical," joked Ben H. Winters during his interview with IGN. "Although, okay… the main character *is* a grumpy middle-aged sci-fi writer trying to figure out the meaning of life while wandering around L.A.—and so am I. Oh no."

He continued, “The fun of writing *Benjamin* was taking something deeply philosophical—like, the reality of death—and turning it into a lighthearted, absurd adventure. It’s about a guy who died and somehow came back, and now he’s trying to understand what that even means. And maybe, just maybe, he’s stuck inside one of his own stories. That meta-layer adds such a playful yet meaningful twist to everything. Plus, there’s a dog named Strawman. And honestly, what more could you want?”
