Developer Pocketpair has exciting news for fans of their massively popular monster-catching game, Palworld. They've announced a new addition to their universe titled Palworld! More Than Just Pals, a dating sim that promises to bring a touch of romance to the franchise. Announced on March 31, 2025, this isn't an April Fools' Day prank, despite the timing raising some eyebrows among fans who are wary of the flood of fake game announcements that typically come with the start of April.

Pocketpair is keen to dispel any doubts: Palworld! More Than Just Pals is a legitimate project. The concept originated from an April Fools' Day jest in 2024, but it has now evolved into a real game set to launch on PC via Steam at a yet-to-be-announced date.

This dating sim takes players to Palagos Private Academy, where they enroll as a transfer student. Here, players can befriend and potentially fall in love with a diverse cast of student Pals, including characters like the "cute" and "mysterious" Katress and the "timid" Chillet, all familiar names from the Palworld universe. The game offers players the freedom to choose their path, whether it's maintaining friendships, pursuing romance, or taking a darker turn with their Pals.
