People Can Fly Joins Sony for New Project Delta
The development team behind Bulletstorm and co-developers of Gears of War: E-Day, People Can Fly, has inked a new agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment to create Project Delta. Details regarding this project were disclosed in a report from People Can Fly, stating that Project Delta will be developed as a work-for-hire title, though further specifics remain undisclosed.
Currently, People Can Fly is juggling multiple projects under codenames, including Project Gemini with Square Enix (which resulted in significant layoffs last year), Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red (also reportedly tied to Sony), and Project Bison, their recently announced final VR project.
In December, the studio paused progress on Project Victoria and downsized efforts on Project Bifrost. Additionally, in April, they canceled Project Dagger, an anticipated action-adventure collaboration with Take-Two Interactive.
As of now, People Can Fly has eight projects in various stages of development, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day in cooperation with The Coalition. While there’s no confirmed release date for this title, the Project Gemini collaboration with Square Enix is expected to launch in 2026.
