Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Get ready, Pikmin Bloom fans! The game's 3.5th anniversary is just around the corner, set to kick off next month on May 1st, 2025. Niantic is bringing back the nostalgia with a blast from the past, featuring some classic gadgets in the game. The event promises to be a thrilling journey down memory lane, starting with a new event that lasts the entire month.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with a variety of fun decor, such as Pikmin wearing Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For this special 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. It's a delightful nod to gaming history!

Adding to the retro vibe, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.

The event, running from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, gives you a full month to immerse yourself in event missions and collect these cool new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random goodies, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. Smashing these can yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other surprises. The Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May is set to be a blooming month, with the potential for your flowers to transform into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

There's also an exciting nectar update. The fruit from mushrooms in May will provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
