PlayStation Reveals Summer 2025 PS+ Titles

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have a fresh selection of games to anticipate, with a mix of modern hits and beloved classics, including titles from franchises like Resident Evil and Twisted Metal.

The latest additions to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game lineup were announced during the June 2025 State of Play event. Each featured title is scheduled to launch on the service throughout the summer, with several available on day one.

Sword of the Sea, an atmospheric adventure focused on surfing through vibrant, otherworldly landscapes, is the standout announcement. This new project from Giant Squid, the studio behind Abzû and The Pathless, emphasizes fluid, skateboarding-inspired movement, stunning visuals, and deep exploration. It will be available at no additional cost to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers starting August 19, 2025.

Meanwhile, Remedy Entertainment's FBC: Firebreak will offer a new lens on the world of Control when it joins the Game Catalog for Premium and Extra members on June 17, 2025. Alongside these promising new experiences, the Premium Classics Catalog will welcome a wave of retro games for revisiting.

New additions to the Classics Catalog include Deus Ex, Twisted Metal 3, Twisted Metal 4, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Myst and Riven will also be added for subscribers to enjoy as part of the Days of Play celebrations later this month. These are just the highlights Sony shared during the State of Play, with more titles expected to be revealed in the coming months.
