What is the Pokémon GO Tour Pass?

Debuting with the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova global event, the Tour Pass is a system of completing tasks to earn Tour Points. These points unlock rewards, boost your rank, and enhance event bonuses throughout the Unova event.

The free Tour Pass is automatically granted to all players starting February 24th at 10 AM local time. A paid version, the Tour Pass Deluxe ($14.99 USD or equivalent), offers an immediate Victini encounter, superior rewards, and faster progression.

Earning Tour Points and Rewards

Tour Points are earned through familiar in-game activities: catching Pokémon, raiding, and hatching eggs. Daily Pass Tasks provide additional points.

Accumulated points unlock rewards, increase your rank within the Tour Pass tiers, and boost Catch XP bonuses during the event. Tier progression unlocks Pokémon encounters, Candy, Poké Balls, and more. Catch XP bonuses are:

• 1.5x at Tier 2
• 2x at Tier 3
• 3x at Tier 4

Niantic has yet to reveal all rewards; further details are promised. The free pass culminates in a Zorua encounter with a unique background. The Deluxe Pass's ultimate reward is a Lucky Trinket.

The Lucky Trinket

Exclusive to the Tour Pass Deluxe, the Lucky Trinket is a single-use item transforming one friend into a Lucky Friend. This allows a Lucky Pokémon trade without requiring Best Friend status (Great Friends are required to use the item). Note: Lucky Trinkets obtained during this event expire on March 9, 2025.
