Pokémon Go Offers $100 VIP Restroom Access Upgrade

Pokémon Go has introduced a new $100 Premier Access upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event. This premium add-on grants exclusive in-game items and enhanced real-world amenities—including access to improved restroom facilities.

Go Fest is the game's premier summer event, held this year at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, alongside versions in Paris, France, and Osaka, Japan.

Developer Niantic announced that attendees in Jersey City can now enhance their event experience with this $100 Premier Access add-on, which provides a suite of special benefits.

Functioning similarly to a business-class option, Premier Access includes entry to a dedicated lounge area.

According to Niantic, this lounge features upgraded restrooms, portable charging stations with lockers, and seating areas to help guests recharge before their next adventure. Specific details on how these restrooms differ from the general facilities have not been disclosed.

Holders also receive priority access to the event's Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store, allowing them to bypass lines when purchasing official merchandise.

This benefit is particularly valuable, as merchandise queues at Go Fest are often lengthy and can significantly cut into the limited time available for exploring and catching Pokémon.

The primary draw of the Premier Access upgrade, however, is the substantial collection of in-game items it includes. Players receive 100 Premium Battle Passes, 100 Super Incubators, 20 Max Particle Packs, and more—a bundle whose individual components could easily total over $300 if purchased separately.

Here is the complete list of included items:

100 Poké Balls 100 Great Balls 100 Ultra Balls 50 Silver Pinap Berries 100 Super Incubators 10 Lucky Eggs 10 Incense 10 Star Pieces 10 Lure Modules 10 Glacial Lure Modules 10 Magnetic Lure Modules 10 Mossy Lure Modules 10 Rainy Lure Modules 100 Premium Battle Passes 20 Max Particle Packs 5 Max Mushrooms

Additionally, Premier Access ticket holders will receive a commemorative enamel pin badge.

Reactions from the community have been divided. Some players expressed surprise at the high price point, noting that Pokémon Go has never offered such an expensive upgrade before and that monetization within the game appears to be increasing.

Others acknowledged that the bundle offers considerable value for the sheer volume of in-game items provided. For attendees who have already invested in travel and a base ticket, this upgrade may appeal to those with disposable income seeking a more comfortable and rewarding experience.

IGN has reached out to Niantic to inquire if similar Premier Access offers will be available at other Go Fest locations.

Pokémon Go Fest 2025 is scheduled for the weekend of May 29 in Osaka, the weekend of June 6 in Jersey City, and the weekend of June 13 in Paris. This year's event will highlight the debut of the Legendary Pokémon Volcanion and the wider release of the regional exclusive, Hawlucha.
