Pokémon TCG Mega Brave & Symphonia End Scarlet & Violet Era

by Noah Feb 11,2026

Just when it seemed the Pokémon TCG scene couldn't get any busier with the Destined Rivals and Black Bolt and White Flare expansions, an entirely new series arrives with the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia sets.

Announced at Japan's Championship tournament—as reported by PokeBeach—the two new sets, featuring Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex, mark a move away from the Scarlet and Violet era for the popular trading card game. They are scheduled for release on August 1, 2025, in Japan, and September 26 in English-language markets, with preorders reportedly beginning on September 13.

Instead of continuing the long-running Scarlet and Violet block, the new series will spotlight Mega Evolutions from the upcoming game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia will each contain 63 standard cards before secret rares, officially launching the new Mega block. The reveal also showcased visually striking full-art cards for Pokémon and items, including Rare Candy, Night Stretcher, Bulbasaur, Vulpix, and Inteleon.

Reports indicate both sets will receive a Pokémon Center Mega set bundle. This includes 60 packs across two boxes, a card storage box featuring the set's cover Pokémon, four dividers, a deck box themed with Acerola or Lillie, and matching character card sleeves. Priced at 12,800 yen (approximately $87), the official US pricing has not yet been announced.

A Premium Trainer Box is also slated for release at 6,350 yen in Japan (around $47), with US pricing still pending. It will contain 20 packs (10 from each set), 51 unique cards, a storage box, a Poison/Burn marker, damage counters with a case, and a damage storage box.

As PokeBeach shared in early June, The Pokémon Company informed tournament organizers that pre-release allocations will be even lower than usual, exacerbating the TCG's ongoing stock shortage issues.

We will update this article with concrete details for preordering the English versions of Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia in the US and UK as soon as information is available, so you can secure your copies early.
