Polytopia's Aquarion Rise to Aquatic Dominance

Midjiwan has unveiled a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe. This marks a substantial refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion receive a dramatic visual and functional upgrade. Land units now boast mermaid tails, granting them amphibious capabilities. They move effortlessly across water but are slower on land. This update also introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

Buildings have also adapted to the aquatic environment. Construction on water is now possible, and Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, providing strategic advantages for water-based warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops return, permanently integrated into the Aquarion's arsenal, functioning similarly to land-based crops.

New marine creatures add depth to the gameplay. Sharks ambush opponents, puffers provide long-range bombardment, and jellies unleash electric attacks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also see improvements; Crabs now flood the tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid units. See it in action!
