Premium Edition of Retro Bullet Heaven 'Halls of Torment' Launches Today
Halls of Torment: Premium, a nostalgic 90s RPG-styled survival game similar to Vampire Survivors, has arrived on Android. Published by Erabit Studios and originally developed by Chasing Carrots, this mobile port delivers the complete PC experience.
Gameplay in Halls of Torment: Premium
Players build unique characters by combining traits, items, and skills to create personalized playstyles. Gameplay involves hack-and-slash combat, strategic resource management (character attributes, gear), and quest completion. Navigate creepy, haunted halls, selecting from a diverse roster of heroes. Victory hinges on skillful progression, leveling up, gear acquisition, and mastering ability combinations. The game boasts an impressive array of abilities, traits, and items to experiment with.
Featuring quick, 30-minute runs and a meta-progression system, even death contributes to overall progress. This addictive loop explains its prior success on PC.
The Android version offers the full PC experience, including 11 playable characters, 5 stages, 61 unique items, 30 unique bosses, 20 blessings, and over 300 quests.
Should You Play?
Halls of Torment: Premium’s pre-rendered art style evokes a strong 90s RPG aesthetic. Blending roguelike survival elements with both in-game and out-of-game progression systems, it effectively combines elements of Vampire Survivors and Diablo.
Available now on the Google Play Store for $4.99, Halls of Torment: Premium offers a compelling blend of nostalgia and addictive gameplay. Don't forget to check out our latest news on Kingdom Two Crowns' new expansion, Call of Olympus!
