Rauora is the new Rainbow Six Siege operator

The final day of the Six Invitational is a pivotal moment for fans of Rainbow Six Siege, as it's when Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting new content. This year, the spotlight was on Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand, introduced with much anticipation.

Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, a bulletproof shield that can be deployed exclusively in doorways. Although it's resistant to bullets, it can be obliterated by explosives. The shield comes with a unique trigger mechanism that can be activated by anyone; however, the time it takes to open varies significantly based on the team. Attackers can open it in just one second, whereas defenders must wait a full three seconds. This time difference could prove to be a game-changer, especially during tense moments when the defuser is planted.

Alongside the DOM launcher, Rauora brings a fresh addition to the game's arsenal: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapons, players can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precision-focused 417 marksman rifle.

Fans eager to try out Rauora won't have to wait long, as she'll be available on the test servers starting next week. However, her integration into the live version of the game will take a bit more time, ensuring a smooth rollout for all players.
