Respawn and Bit Reactor to Unveil Star Wars: Zero Company This Weekend

Following a minor leak last week, Electronic Arts (EA) has officially announced the title of their upcoming Star Wars game, along with the development team behind it. The game, named *Star Wars: Zero Company*, is being crafted by the newly established studio, Bit Reactor, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

Details about *Star Wars: Zero Company* remain scarce, but it's confirmed to be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more insights, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 during the Star Wars Celebration in Japan.

Bit Reactor, the game's developer, is a fresh strategy game studio founded in 2022. It boasts a team of seasoned professionals from notable titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While it's been known that Bit Reactor was working on a Star Wars project with Respawn, this is the first time substantial details have been shared about the project.

The extent of Respawn's involvement in *Star Wars: Zero Company* remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced its share of challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, alongside significant layoffs at EA, and the recent termination of another multiplayer FPS incubation project.

For those eager to learn more about *Star Wars: Zero Company*, a live panel is set for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. Unfortunately for U.S. fans, this translates to 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so set your alarms if you don't want to miss out on the latest updates.
