Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have exciting news on the horizon: a livestream scheduled for April 18th will unveil the upcoming content for version 2.5, titled 'Showdown in Chinatown,' along with details about the game's 1.5th anniversary celebration.

The much-anticipated livestream promises a first look at the new update, hosted in-character by Captain Regulus and the newly introduced Officer Liang Yue in chibi form. Viewers can also look forward to exciting giveaways, including redeemable codes and a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2 through a competition.

While some details of version 2.5 have already been revealed to Chinese players, the international community is eager to see what's in store. 'Showdown in Chinatown' pays homage to Hong Kong martial arts cinema, weaving a dramatic crime thriller narrative centered around the pursuit of an arcanist vigilante.

Noire, a wheelchair-bound, perfectionist director, uses her unique ability to puppeteer actors in combat. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.

Although specifics for the international version will be clarified during the livestream, fans can expect numerous nods to iconic filmmakers like the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
