Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years
Rockstar, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just rolled out an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, fans are buzzing with excitement over this fresh update, exclusively available on mobile platforms.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
Bully: Anniversary Edition now boasts updated languages, alongside a focus on enhancing stability and squashing those pesky bugs. Here's what's new:
- Friends Challenges have been temporarily disabled. Don’t worry, they’re working on it!
- Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) has been activated for Android users with compatible devices, enhancing the visual experience.
- The app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been introduced across both platforms for a more immersive feel.
- Mission Fixes: Issues in missions like 'That Bitch,' where Mandy’s locker was impossible to pick, and 'Weed Killer,' which wouldn’t progress if you broke the window prematurely, have been resolved. Similarly, the 'The Rumble' mission no longer features police cars falling through the floor.
- Enemy Behavior: Previously, enemies might not engage Jimmy in combat, making fights feel one-sided. This has been corrected.
- Crash Fixes: Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been addressed.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
The Bully community has been vocal about their desire for a sequel, Bully 2, which was reportedly in development during the 2010s but shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the chances of seeing Bully 2 seem slim, especially with many of the original team having moved on from Rockstar.
While this update isn't a full remaster or sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile gamers. If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar’s unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game, where you step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old navigating the trials and tribulations of Bullworth Academy with classic Rockstar humor and open-world antics.
So, why not dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition available on the Google Play Store? Priced at €7.99, it also offers full gamepad support for an enhanced gaming experience.
