"Schedule I Update 0.3.4: New Pawn Shop, Fancy Items Added"
If you're a fan of immersive indie simulations, then Schedule I needs no introduction. After launching into Steam Early Access on March 24, the game quickly went viral, becoming one of the top-selling titles on the platform—surpassing even major AAA releases like GTA V, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Marvel Rivals. Developed by Australian indie creator Tyler under the moniker TVGS, this gritty drug dealer simulator puts players in control of a rising narcotics empire in the bleak urban sprawl of Hyland Point.
Now, following a short testing period, Tyler has officially rolled out the v0.3.4 update for all players. As outlined in the latest Steam patch notes, this marks the first major content update since launch and introduces a variety of new features and improvements that expand gameplay depth and player freedom.
One of the most anticipated additions is the inclusion of Mick’s Pawn Shop, where players can now offload nearly any non-drug item to free up inventory space and earn extra cash. Alongside it comes the stylish Bleuballs Boutique, offering a fresh selection of high-end goods perfect for decorating your safehouse or boosting your resale profits.
Additional decorative items such as wooden signs, metal signs, wall-mounted shelves, safes, antique and modern wall lamps, grandfather clocks, paintings, toilets (including a golden variant), watches, chains, gold bars, and premium wines like Ol' Man Jimmy's Whiskey, Château La Peepee, and Brut du Gloop have also been added. While liquor remains purely decorative for now, Tyler has confirmed it will become functional in future updates.
Other notable additions include:
- Supplier meeting icons in the map app now display the supplier’s name
- Removal of cooldown timers for requesting supplier meetings
- Time-skipping actions like sleeping now affect supplier meeting countdowns
The update also brings several quality-of-life tweaks and optimizations, including an improved counteroffer product interface, updated customer recommendation dialogue, increased jar stack size to 20, and additional null checks to improve stability.
Bug fixes cover a range of issues, from UI layout problems to event synchronization errors, ensuring smoother solo and multiplayer experiences.
Looking ahead, Tyler has shared his roadmap for continued development. Top priorities include:
- Ensuring employee behavior runs smoothly and consistently
- Preventing save file corruption and disappearance through improved save formats compatible with Steam Cloud
- Addressing disconnection and loading issues in multiplayer
- Optimizing performance and working toward Steam Deck verification, which will serve as a key benchmark for future enhancements
Tyler acknowledged delays in the rollout of v0.3.4, explaining: “I'm still ironing out the update/testing process.” He assured fans that larger monthly updates would begin running more efficiently starting next month.
For those eager to dive deeper into the world of Schedule I, IGN has compiled a helpful guide covering everything from the basics of mixing recipes to accessing console commands and jumping into multiplayer co-op with friends.
With its addictive gameplay loop, dark humor, and expanding feature set, Schedule I continues to captivate players worldwide. Tyler describes the game’s reception as “amazing but pretty overwhelming,” adding on Reddit: “I never expected this kind of response! Right now, I’m focused on getting patches out quickly and preparing for bigger content updates once the major bugs are resolved.”
As the Hyland Point underworld grows ever more complex, one thing is clear—Schedule I isn’t just a flash-in-the-pan hit. It’s shaping up to be one of the standout indie success stories of the year.
