Old School RuneScape Drops Varlamore: The Rising Darkness With New Bosses And Quests

Old School RuneScape's latest chapter, Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, is now live! This expansive update introduces a thrilling new adventure in the northern regions, culminating in a challenging encounter with a fearsome foe.

New Challenges and Rewards:

Prepare to confront Hueycoatl, a massive serpent lurking in the perilous Hailstorm Mountains. Team up with unexpected allies—members of the Dwarven Party and a priest—to overcome this formidable beast. Victory yields impressive rewards, including the Tome of Earth, the Dragon Hunter Wand (the first magic-infused dragonbane weapon!), and the Hueycoatl Hide Armour.

Beyond the icy peaks, the island of Aldarin awaits. This location offers exciting new Herblore activities, allowing players to cultivate, blend, and master alchemical creations using a variety of herbs.

For a change of pace, tackle the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course. Assist the aged anteater, Worm Tongue, in ridding the Wyrm's remains of a destructive termite infestation. Successfully completing the course rewards players with Agility XP and valuable items, such as the Varlamore Graceful Recolour and a skeleton transmog for their Squirrel pet.

Continuing the Story:

The Heart of Darkness, a new quest continuing the storyline from Children of the Sun and Twilight’s Promise, delves into the machinations of the Twilight Emissaries and an assassination attempt on Servius.
