Season 4 Reloaded: CoD: MW3 and Warzone Updates

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded update delivers a massive content drop, including new game modes, weapons, and significant adjustments to existing ones. The update has been highly anticipated, especially the addition of new Zombies content to Modern Warfare 3.

Recent weeks have been busy for Call of Duty fans. Following Season 4's initial release, the next installment in the franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, was fully unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase. While fans eagerly await Black Ops 6, Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward are making substantial changes to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

Activision's patch notes detail the Season 4 Reloaded additions: two new weapons—the Reclaimer 18 Shotgun and the Sledgehammer melee weapon—along with JAK Volkh and JAK Gunslinger aftermarket parts. A new Mutation mode removes tactical and lethal equipment from ground loot, replacing it with a DNA-based perk system. Modern Warfare 3 Zombies introduces Unstable Rifts, wave-based combat challenges rewarding cooldown resets on insured weapons and schematics.

The update significantly impacts the meta. The Kar98k, a recent addition that surpassed the popular MORS sniper, receives nerfs to its damage range and bullet velocity. Controller aim assist has also been adjusted. However, several previously dominant weapons receive buffs, including popular SMGs (FJX Horus, Striker, Rival-9) and rifles (MTZ 762, MCW, Holger 556, MTZ 556). The impact of these changes and new weapons on gameplay remains to be seen.
