Smite 2: Free-to-Play Launch Date Revealed with New God

Smite 2's Open Beta Launch: January 14, 2025

Get ready! Smite 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA, launches its free-to-play open beta on January 14, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the Unreal Engine 5-powered game, initially unveiled in Alpha in 2024.

This open beta will feature a wealth of new content, including:

• Aladdin: The first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, debuting alongside the beta. This Magical Assassin and Jungler boasts unique abilities like wall-running and enemy trapping.
• Returning Favorites: Popular Gods from the original Smite, such as Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni, are making a comeback with updated skill sets.
• Expanded Roster: The God roster will expand significantly, nearing 50 Gods by the end of January 2025. Twenty of these 45 Gods will initially feature Aspects.
• New Game Modes: Experience Joust (3v3) and Duel (1v1), both set in an Arthurian-themed arena with teleporters and stealth grass.
• Aspects System: This innovative system allows players to trade a God's ability for a powerful bonus, adding strategic depth to gameplay. For example, Athena's teleport can shift from ally protection to enemy weakening.
• Quality-of-Life Improvements: Expect enhanced features like Role Guides, improved in-game messaging, PC text chat, item store upgrades, and detailed death recaps.

The open beta will feature approximately 20 of Smite 2's 45 dynamic Gods with Aspects at launch, with more to be added later. The first Smite 2 esports tournament will culminate at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas from January 17-19. Smite 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Prepare for battle!
