The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs
No Return Mode Enhancements
The popular No Return Mode is getting a significant update with the addition of two new characters from The Last of Us Part I: Bill and Marlene. Each character brings a unique playstyle to the mode, offering fresh challenges and strategies for players.
- Bill: A "Smuggler" with access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops, double rewards from drops, stronger against melee attacks but unable to dodge.
- Marlene: A "Risk Taker" equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Four new maps will also be introduced to No Return Mode:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle with verticality, reminiscent of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign.
- School: The abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina faced the W.L.F.
- Streets: Located in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest: Familiar to players who played as Abby in an Infected-infested building.
All this new content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.
PSN Sign-In Incentives
In line with Sony's recent policy shift regarding PlayStation Network requirements, The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Logging in offers additional perks, including the PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, and 50 in-game points to activate bonus features. Additionally, players who sign in with their PSN account will unlock a new skin for Ellie, featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan's jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Earlier this month, The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann shared insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which has been in development for four years. In an interview with Alex Garland, Druckmann discussed the game's focus on faith and religion, set in an alternate historical timeline where a significant religion has evolved dramatically. The game stars Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.
The release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC comes just before Season 2 of HBO's successful TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were notably absent in the first season.
