Sony's State of Play Returns Tomorrow With 40-Minute Showcase

by Joshua Jan 21,2026

Sony has announced a State of Play showcase scheduled for tomorrow, June 4.

In a PlayStation Blog update, Sony Interactive Entertainment content communications manager Tim Turi confirmed viewers can expect "news and updates on must-play titles coming to PS5." Turi added: "The presentation will spotlight a range of exciting games from developers worldwide."

The show, lasting over 40 minutes, starts on June 4 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST.

While details remain limited, it's highly anticipated that we'll get a new look at Sucker Punch's upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive sequel, Ghost of Yotei, scheduled for release this October.

Could the event also feature updates on Insomniac's Wolverine project, or reveals from other Sony development teams like God of War creator Sony Santa Monica, Days Gone developer Bend Studio, and Horizon studio Guerrilla, which is currently developing a multiplayer spin-off?

Sony-owned Bungie continues development on Marathon, though it remains uncertain how much the studio will showcase following recent art plagiarism controversies. Meanwhile, Fairgames—now without Jade Raymond leading—continues development. Last month, Sony introduced a new PlayStation studio called teamLFG and teased its first project, a live service incubation title.

The presentation may also highlight titles from external development partners published by Sony, such as the anticipated Phantom Blade Zero.
