Star Wars Outlaws Set for Nintendo Switch 2 Release

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. However, fans will need to wait a bit longer as the game won't be a launch title for the new Nintendo handheld, set to release on June 5. Instead, Star Wars: Outlaws will hit the Switch 2 on September 4.

For those who may have missed it on PS5, Xbox, and PC, Star Wars: Outlaws unfolds between the iconic films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The game follows the journey of Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who finds herself targeted by a cartel. Our reviewer rated it a 7 out of 10, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but it’s hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."

While Ubisoft didn't delve into many specifics, they did confirm the release date for Star Wars: Outlaws on the Nintendo Switch 2. This announcement allows us to update the Switch 2 Games List. The announcement came during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled details about the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. In this expansion, Kay Vess teams up with Hondo Ohnaka to confront Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune is slated for release on May 15.
