by Aria Mar 18,2025

EA and Bit Reactor, a studio comprised of XCOM veterans, will unveil their highly anticipated Star Wars turn-based tactics game at Star Wars Celebration 2025. Initially announced in early 2022, this untitled project has been developed in close collaboration with Respawn Entertainment. The official Star Wars Celebration 2025 schedule reveals a live panel on April 19th, featuring the lead development teams from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games, offering the first public glimpse of the game.

Details about the game remain scarce, including its Star Wars era setting and precise gameplay mechanics. However, given the developers' XCOM background, a similar tactical style infused with Star Wars elements is anticipated.

Respawn Entertainment, concurrently developing the third installment in the Star Wars Jedi trilogy, is not expected to showcase it at this year's Celebration. Previously, Respawn canceled an unannounced first-person shooter featuring a Mandalorian protagonist, and more recently, a multiplayer first-person shooter project, resulting in job losses.

Other Star Wars Celebration highlights include a sneak peek at The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (May 2026 release) and a first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
