Superliminal: Dream Escape Puzzle Game Hits Mobile

by Aaron May 21,2025

Indie puzzle game Superliminal is set to hit mobile devices next month, launching on the App Store and Google Play on July 30th. Pre-registration is now open on both platforms, giving eager players a chance to secure their spot before the official release.

Originally launched on Steam in 2020 by developer Pillow Castle, Superliminal has garnered Very Positive reviews. Publisher Noodlecake is now bringing this mind-bending puzzle adventure to mobile, complete with controller support at launch.

The game begins with you dozing off in front of the TV, catching a glimpse of an ad for Dr. Pierce's dream therapy program. As you drift into sleep, you find yourself trapped in a recurring dream cycle, serving as an unwitting test subject. Your mission? Navigate through a series of intricate puzzles to find your way out.

ytThroughout your journey, you'll be guided by the voice of Doctor Glenn Pierce, who aims to assist you in escaping the dream world. However, his AI assistant may have other plans. In this surreal environment, perspective is key. The gameplay centers around forced perspective mechanics, where you'll explore different rooms and use your ingenuity to solve each puzzle.

As you progress, you'll manipulate the size of objects, scaling them to create platforms, clear obstacles, and reach the exit. Later levels introduce new mechanics, such as trompe-l'œil illusions, which can only be solved by finding the right viewing angle.

For the first two weeks after its launch, Superliminal will be available at a 25% discount, priced at $7.99 thereafter. You can try the game for free before deciding to purchase the full version. To learn more about Superliminal, visit developer Pillow Castle's official website or follow them on Facebook, X (Twitter), or YouTube.
