Sydney Sweeney's Bathwater Soap Launch Ignites Online Debate

by Hannah Dec 14,2025

Since Sydney Sweeney starred in a sultry bath ad for Dr. Squatch’s body wash in October 2024, fans have speculated about the lengths she’d go for brand collaborations. Now, the Euphoria and Madame Web actress has partnered with the brand again, this time for a limited-edition soap reportedly made with her bathwater, sparking widespread buzz.

"You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we made it happen," Sweeney posted on Instagram. "Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A real, limited-edition soap crafted with my actual bathwater."

The internet erupted with reactions to the 5,000-bar limited release. “Legally, sanitary products must be clean, so it’s likely just a marketing gimmick. She probably helped choose the scent,” one Reddit user commented on r/Entertainment. Another added, “It’s purified water at best—a clever stunt that’ll sell millions.”

Some fans speculated on the logistics. “Is she siphoning bathwater into buckets for a factory pickup?” one Redditor mused. Another quipped, “No way, she’s bathing at the factory.”

“Maybe it’s just a drop of bathwater in a massive batch,” one user suggested. Another calculated, “For 5,000 bars, assuming 2 oz of water per bar, it’s roughly one 302-liter bath, about 34 oz per liter.”

Others were skeptical. “No way it’s actual bathwater,” a Redditor wrote. “Dr. Squatch is known for wild marketing claims like this.”

Sweeney’s knack for lucrative brand deals has long intrigued fans. “Is she just hustling hard, or is there debt we don’t know about?” one user asked.

Another offered perspective: “There aren’t many true movie stars left. Celebrities like her have short windows to cash in before the next big name emerges.”

Some questioned the move. “This feels like a D-list stunt, not something for a star at her peak,” one fan remarked. Another countered, “That D-list hustle with A-list appeal is a money-making machine.”

Many fans see Sweeney’s strategy as savvy. “She knows her audience and isn’t afraid to capitalize,” one wrote. Another added, “Why not profit off the hype? It’s smart.” A third predicted, “She’s about to make millions from this.”

With only a few thousand bars available, demand for Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss is expected to soar. Some fans jokingly warned of misuse. “People are going to eat the soap, aren’t they?” one wrote. Another referenced a movie scene, saying, “Buyers will be out here like Tim Robinson apologizing in Friendship.”

Ultimately, Sweeney’s fans seem thrilled by her bold move to leverage her appeal. A recurring Reddit joke summed it up: “That’s gross! Where can I get it?”
